Comparison between Metaverse, Multiverse and Omniverse

When diving into the world of virtual realities, we come across terms such as metaverse, multiverse and omniverse. These terms may seem interchangeable, but they have different meanings and purposes.

Let’s start with the metaverse. Strictly speaking, it is a virtual world that includes all other virtual worlds and experiences. Metaverse is an all-in-one platform that enables seamless navigation through a variety of virtual worlds, providing a one-stop shop for all your virtual experiences. The metaverse is like a virtual hub that brings together people, companies and services from different virtual worlds.

Let’s move on to the multiverse. It refers to a series of many parallel universes. In the context of virtual realities, the multiverse is a network of interconnected virtual worlds. Each virtual world in the multiverse functions independently according to its own rules and characteristics. Users can travel between these virtual worlds and experience different environments, characters and challenges.

Then we have the omniverse, which extends beyond the multiverse and encompasses everything that exists. The Omniverse is a hypothetical concept that includes all universes, realities and dimensions, real and imaginary. It is the global network of everything that exists or has ever existed. Although the Omniverse is not yet fully available, there is potential to connect all virtual and physical worlds into a unified platform.

How do we compare these three concepts? The Metaverse is the central hub, while the Multiverse features a vast network of interconnected virtual worlds, and the Omniverse extends beyond the virtual realm to encompass everything that exists.

Although each of these virtual realities has its own characteristics and purposes, they are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the Metaverse, Multiverse, and Omniverse could eventually merge into one, providing a seamless virtual experience that connects everything.
